“Nowadays people that have a good power of observation see bugs in everyday life and with a little bit of creativity, they make solutions for small things such as cup holders or special in-bed desktop tables. But some people go even further and start to see things that can be fixed with some new technology. People start coming up with ideas that have never existed but would be very useful for a big amount of users. If you look at a startup in this way, it’s a company that made up something that never existed and brings value to anybody you can say that it’s a guaranteed hundred percent success but experiences show different outcomes.
Some people say that a product can never be bad it’s all about how you sell it. If we take a flashlight for an example, someone would say it’s just a flashlight that gives you light when your house loses power but when you go camping in the woods it would be a great necessity to see where your tools are, where are you stepping, maybe if you hear something in the distance to make sure it isn’t a huge bear coming your way. Now when we explained it like this it is clear that the word we are looking for is marketing. It’s all about how you do your marketing or who does your marketing. People came up with solutions in marketing as well such as platforms to share placements on their websites or the other way around to put ads on those placements. And of course a lot of people who came up with ideas first and did their marketing the best way possible became very successful.
Nowadays everybody is striving for success because social networks allow you to see how other successful people live and automatically that makes you want to live a similar life. Just don’t forget what that people had to go through to get to that stage in life. We can say that life is built out of stages and it doesn’t count your age into stages because a lot of people came to some stages either earlier than planned or maybe later. Just have in mind if you want to build a startup you will have to sacrifice a lot of time and you must be dedicated. That’s like a secret formula that everybody knows but people are just taking the easier path because it’s easier. Have in mind that great things come only when you struggle. Imagine if you watch a soccer game and in the first 10 minutes one team scores six goals. The rest of the game is not interesting because they’ve already won. That would be some kind of an analogy for the slow and painful success. Take it slow and do the hard things, because the hard things are often the right things. Have a nice day and good luck with your start-up!
